A family-run dealership on Blackpool Road, Kirkham

We sell used cars from a forecourt between Preston and Blackpool, and we arrange the finance ourselves as an FCA-authorised credit broker. The same small team checks your eligibility, prepares the car and hands you the keys. This site exists for the customers a mainstream lender's computer turns away before anyone looks at them.

Who we are

North West Car Group is the trading name of MT Retail UK Ltd, a family-run motor dealer with more than 30 years' experience in the trade. MT Retail UK Ltd t/a North West Car Group is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as a credit broker, firm reference number 954552, and you can verify that on the FCA register. We are not a lender: we introduce your application to a panel of lenders and may receive a commission from the lender for doing so, which does not affect what you pay.

Why this site exists

The same story kept coming through the door: good people with steady income and a bruised credit file, turned away by an automated system before anyone looked at their actual circumstances. When a lender's scorecard declines someone with a steady job and a four-year-old CCJ, there is usually nobody at the other end who can look again. Here, there is.

We work with lenders who specialise in adverse credit: CCJs, IVAs, defaults, missed payments and debt management plans. No search is run until we have spoken to you and you have agreed to a soft search, which leaves no mark on your file. Every conversation starts with what you can genuinely afford.

How we work

  • A conversation first. Sending our form does not run a credit check at all. We call you, and a soft search only happens once you have agreed to it.
  • Honest numbers. If a payment does not fit your budget, we will say so. An agreement that fails helps nobody, least of all you.
  • We will tell you no. Nobody can guarantee car finance. If we cannot help, you get a straight explanation and, where there is one, a suggestion of what might change it.
  • Real cars, prepared here. Every car we finance is on the forecourt for you to view and drive first.
  • Aftercare. Our 3-Year Aftercare Package is included with qualifying vehicles. Honoured at the same forecourt you bought from.
